Not allowed to do a brand event at a residential property (yacht or house) during Art Basel in Miami. It is illegal to host a party at a private residence for commercial use.

Art Basel Partnership: Ability to permit “Art Basel property” but must become a sponsor of Art Basel. Art Basel owns portions of the beach and Miami Beach city property during the festival.
Previous experience (Prada) - approached by a guy from Scope Artfair who wanted to make the activations on the beach more intentional by putting everything in close proximity. Build has to be related to art in some capacity.
Vendors
Vendors are sparse and overworked during Art Basel. Book well in advance and continuously ask about other concurrent projects they are taking on during that week.
If budget allows, always beneficial to bring in non-local vendors
Logistics
Always a lot of traffic during Art Basel so need to account for hours of extra time in all vendor load in/trucking schedules
